Manotick real estate is known for its excellent schools, both in the public and Catholic school boards. For elementary children, there is the Manotick Public School and the St. Leonard Catholic School which both offer English and French teaching. The Old Village of Manotick is brimming with pubs, one-of-a-kind boutiques, speciality stores, cafes, and restaurants which range from family friendly to fine dining and gastropubs. For groceries, residents can go to Loblaws or Robinson’s Independent Grocer. Also located in the area is a large Shopper’s Drug Mart, health and dental offices, and a Veterinary Clinic.

Manotick Mews is a 90,000 sqft shopping district with a variety of shops including Home Hardware, The Beer Store, Rexall pharmacy, and numerous services, restaurants, and boutiques. For those that want to hit brand name stores, there are many located in the nearby neighbourhood of Barrhaven otherwise it is just a short drive to the many malls found in Ottawa.

With a population of approximately 4,500, the residents living in Manotick mainly consist of families and empty nesters. Since the area is more expensive, most of the buyers are well-to-do and moving into their dream homes.

Manotick real estate is mainly freehold homes with unique custom built homes on waterfront properties although there are more affordable options which are not directly on the river.
